RCI.B is barely down today after the CBC Go Public article. Is the bottom in for Canadian telecoms?

Anyone have CGX in sight?
It’s very tempting at 5% yield. But it feels like a trap.

some folks were saying it was a good buy at $40, maybe its a better buy at $25, then again what is the upside on CGX?
Based on number of shares, EPS - I would rather go with EIT.UN over CGX
Buy price at its mid range of around $11.50

It's easy to grin when your ship comes in and you've got the stock market beat.
But the man worthwhile is the man who can smile when his shorts are too tight in the seat 😃

What do you think about SJR.B, it's on TD's action list buy list.

What's with XAW dropping by more than 2% while VXC has dropped by less than half that much when I thought they track the same index?

thinking of buying LB - current price is 53.50. Will hold for 15+ yrs for RESP. Is it overvalued at current prices or is this going to dip below 50? Also which of the telecoms is best for 15 yr time horizon. Thanks

Good thing they took away the down vote button. $8.00 bid CJR.B for small. I haven't been around today to follow this, but if there is capitulation selling and stops get run, I'll take some @ $8.00
I can't even see what another lower level would be psychologically. 15% dvd yield? That's $7.60. https://invst.ly/6d065
BTW, a US gov't shutdown, which has been avoided for a few years, but always threatened could chop the broader mkt down further and with it ...

That's probably the same thing the people who bought in at $10-14 were thinking.MrMom wrote: ↑ I can't even see what another lower level would be psychologically. 15% dvd yield? That's $7.60. https://invst.ly/6d065

careful with this one, it could go the way AIM did & cut the dividend.MrMom wrote: ↑ Good thing they took away the down vote button. $8.00 bid CJR.B for small. I haven't been around today to follow this, but if there is capitulation selling and stops get run, I'll take some @ $8.00
