I'm genuinely curious.
Most stores have size charts, plus I usually buy clothes from the same handful of places, so knowing how fit their sizes are from past purchases, I can accurately size future purchases. Most stores also allow instore returns/exchanges - AE being an exception.
Another reason why I like to buy online is I get excited twice - once when I score a good deal and pay, and once when I actually receive the item
