Lets say a girl that is my friend likes me but, I just consider her as a friend, What are you supposed to do in this situation? This is a hypothetical situation...Lets just say that...I had no idea of this until recently, Its like BAM! everything that happened starts to make sense and everyone around u is hinting at it but U just want to be a friend and u keep denying that it can be true??

do I just continue to pretend I have no idea? or do I confront her and say im not interested??

This has never happened to me before, And I dont want to do anything stupid....and make anyone hurt...

Tell her that you are flattered, but you are not interested.

Don't give her the BS like you treat her like a sister, or that she isnt your cup of tea, or your type. NO excuses. Cause she will ask you why.

Take some time off from her. A good 3 or 4 months. Then ask her for coffee in that time. If the meeting is normal, perhaps you can become friends still

According to the OP, she hasn't done anything..... just hints as he said. So I don't think any boundaries were crossed. It sounds very harsh when you say 'face the consequences'. I don't think it's fair to punish someone that likes you.

I don't think those are BS excuses, alot of my close friends that are girls and I treat them like my little sisters. I've had the experience of one of them liking me, and I gave her that reason... I see her like my little sister, and I don't want to ruin the great friendship that we had. I told her that I had no interest in her and we can forget this whole incident. I'm still friends with her now and it's not awkward at all.

yep friendship over methinks. No matter how many times and different ways you try to say "Lets just be friends", she will understand it as "you too ugly for me". At First she will be really hurt and start skipping classes/days from school, then she will will get mad and try to "get you back" by finding a guy in your class to play boyfriend with and then make sure you notice by both of them sitting near you.
