What does the GB column do?
I've tried google and I havent found the answer to my question:
what does GB mean in terms of Bastketball stats? I see the GB column in the basketball standings no idea what they mean.
someone plz help me out!

i'm going to assume that gb stands for 'games behind leader'
this would be the identical stat that you see used in baseball
it's a measurement to show how many wins/losses a team is from first place

Because the NHL uses a points system to determine their standings position.
