What is a fair price for a lockout service?

Parents got locked out of their car in Toronto and the tow truck driver asked for $75, is this around average?

Depends on time and location.. seen them as low as $20-$30.... Or $400 for emergency 24/7 service in a remote location

Lol if you're in a jam, what are you going to do, call around for pricing? In the future just get CAA then you and your parents are covered and a basic membership is less than the 75$.

$75 is fair...
like anything..what would you pay some trade to come to your location for a service call.

We've lived in apartments our entire lives so I don't have that as a point of reference but I understand the comparison.

Anyway, good to know it was a fair price.
