what happend to dreamhost ???

Didn't get a newsletter of expected downtime like usual, and its been quite some time they are down now. Usually 15 minutes max downtime and they are back up.

Can't find any info about it, anyone know ?

I think Dreamhost is pretty low budget.. they've had numerous downtime events over the year that I would have expected them to learn from.

That said, they still are a decent host. I would do business with them again (for the right price and that's not regular price).

First, I am not sure most webhosting companies have backup generators.
Second, if the most internet hubs are dead, only you staying on does not help.
