What happens to twins in China's one child policy?

In china, people are only allowed one kid. so what happens if a couple has twins or triplets. do the authorities force an abortion?

No. That would be stupid.

That's why the rich in China who want to have kids have a higher rate of twins/triplets, because they turn to fertility clinics to help them bypass the one child policy.

Twins count as one pregnancy. My co-worker had twin boys; they were beyond over-joyed to say the least.

According to Wikipedia, over 250 million births have been prevented because of it (as told by Chinese authorities).
