what kind of bug is this

just found it on my 3 year olds shirt which was put away in the dresser

Since it was in clothing, I would have guessed the same thing. Not sure those are hairy though.

I would say it looks like carpet beetle larvae

I'd also say carpet beetle larvae. They'll eat fabric, carpeting, upholstery, wool, fur, etc. The adult beetles seem to be attracted to light, presumably looking to get outside and mate, so check your sunniest windowsills over the next few weeks/months. If you find beetles there, you'll want to take action. They don't bite or anything, but they can be very destructive.
