what kind of firearm do most armoured vehicle companies use these days?
some like to have alot of firepower with the shotgun for them close encounters but sawed off or full length maneuverability is limited. While others use the glock or lightness, ease of use and distance. Why don't they use something like a MP5?

Because if they need the firepower of an MP5, chances are theyre screwed to begin with.
Glocks, Berettas and Sig Sauers are common

I havnt seen many, but I assume they would use the same type as police. So Glock 17's and Beretta 92's.

That's a meat truck. There are hard times in that province.
I don't know what kind of gun that is, but it looks semi, or fully automatic based on the barrel._______________

Lots use .38 Specials. Some companies in the US allow personnel to use their own sidearms, but I'm not sure about the Canada side. You can't just walk in for your shift with a pair of Tek 9's in a chest harness ready for your shift, the sidearms have to meet a preset approval list.
I would assume some security personnel would prefer their own sidearm for reliability reasons.
Any ACC rfd members that can answer?

Beretta 92FS is usually used by Americans due the M9 in Canada is the S&W Model 10, 38 Special or Glock 17.S&W Model 10, 38 Special is pretty useless and outdated but was used by are police forces for years. I've never seen the inside of armoured car they also have variation Remington 870 12 gauge shotgun.

Shotguns are far safer for bystanders than an MP5. They're also far cheaper, and they're more reliable, and they're lower maintenance.

While I agree, the shotgun though does pose the problem of ease of handling...one driving, one carrying the shotgun and one collecting. With the pistol it allows the other two on foot to both be able to do collection and transfers.
The ones up here still use .357magnum revolvers, although I heard they may be switching to the Glock 31 chambered in .357SigLast edited by Peckerwood; Feb 9th, 2012 at 08:25 PM.
