But I might as well just go and look at the Hollywood top 10 rather than read this forum...

mbg:

I've posted a number of non-mainstream, non-Hollywood films -- including several foreign films.

Try watching:

Les Glaneurs et La Glaneuse (2000 FR)
Le Hérisson (FR)
Don't Drink the Water
The Curse of the Jade Scorpion
Annie Hall
Dogtooth (GRE)
Gomorra (ITA)
Mongol (2007 - CH)
Up the Yangtze (長江)
Deconstructing Harry
Match Point
Sweet and Lowdown
Bullets Over Broadway
The Stoning of Soraya M

All are excellent, in my view. I'm a huge Woody Allen fan.

I was looking forward to Scott directing Crowe again. But Robin Hood wasn't very good. To each their own i suppose.

Last good movie i saw was Sexy Beast w/ Sir Ben Kingsley.
WTB: A Dance With Dragons from A Song of Ice and Fire

The Disappearance of Alice Creed is a very well-acted and well-directed suspenseful movie with a couple of unpredictable plot twists.

Love this thread, helps me find movies I missed ^_^.

Ladyfriend and I started watching Wong Kar-Wai films, so we'll have to say:

Chungking Express
In the Mood for Love
2046
