I can't get over how great the voice work was. Philip Seymour Hoffman was almost unrecognizable as Max and Toni Collette was excellent as the older Mary. I felt completely drained by the end because that second half is such a rollercoaster of emotions.

I also really enjoyed it from an aesthetic POV - use of monochrome to depict Max's New York and colour to depict Mary's Melbourne, and sepia tones throught was a great choice, and the incredible detail in each scene was marvelous.

I'd be interested to find out if (the real life) Mary's book was ever published as well.

Yup; great observations on the colours and tones.
The YouTube link I posted is the complete film, and yes, definitely similar in tones to Mary and Max. It came out before, and it's shorter, but no less powerful and beautiful.

When I watched M&M again, my emotions were already all oogly as soon as the credits were rolling and the musical score (which is superb) started playing.

A++++ film in every aspect of it

OK, one night I made a concession to my wife and we saw One Day... and to my surprise, I admit I really liked it.

Titanic 3D.

Haven't watched this since the days of the old 2 tape VHS set back in 1998. Still a well laid out gutwrenching cinematic masterpiece.

Only one CGI shot that had a hint of looking fake. Other than that, it held up really well. 3D was lifelike.

A life spent making mistakes is not only more memorable, but more useful than a life spent doing nothing.

Her redone voice ruined it for me right from the beginning. I don't understand why they did that.

I just watched Chronicle today, it was very good. Watched Contraband the other day and it was alright as well.
