Enjoyed Happy Death Day....

Nothing new but blends GroundHog day with slasher flick well.....found it a fun watch

6.5/10
+1 fun brainless watch - the girl in the lead was good.

The Hitmans BodyGuard..... I wasn't too sure about it, but Ryan Reynolds and SLJ are comedy gold if you are into Deadpool and SLJ humor

Kubo and the Two Strings - I wasn't sure what to expect and it turned out to be a beautifully crafted animation with a lovely story about a little boy and his journey. There may be some freaky parts for young children, but nothing I don't think they can handle. A great family movie.

Thor.

Decent film. Definitely the best Thor movie. Had the same problem that GotG 2 had which was the constant jokes/comedy was kinda annoying. Marvel finally had a great villain in Cate Blanchett as Hela, hopefully she returns...

7/10

Murder on the Orient Express (2017). Old fashioned whodunnit murder mystery. If you're into the PBS Poirot series, this is a great way to see one on the big screen.

I saw 2 flicks recently that aren't for everyone but if their individual vibes suit you, they are both very satisfying:

Mayhem - This stars The Walking Dead's Yeun and a Margot Robbie look-a-like in an over the top Purge/Crank/Belko Experiment hybrid about office workers going nuts. Fun popcorn flick.

Creep - Found-footage thriller (non-shaky camera) about a really creepy (sorry, couldn't find a better word to describe him) guy asking a stranger to film his life. It's a slow-burn, but Duplass's performance is solid and the payout is really good.

Happy Death Day was awesome 8/10 for the experience. More than I thought it would. More of a thriller than horror.

Three billboards outside... Frances McDormand was brilliant, I loved it all

Between that and The Florida Project, these are definitely the top two films of the year for me.
