What to look for in #1 diapers (price & quality)
Re all,
Looking for feedback from veteran #1 diaper users. Which brand(s) did you have the best experience with - ie fewer leaks etc. Where can one find the highest quantity - are boxes available? I noticed some Huggies Supremes on sale at my local No Frills for about $0.189 each. Is this a good deal?
TIA!

Depends on your baby...not all diapers fit the same.
We have used Huggies Supreme with both kids. Have not had a leak with this one in 7 months.

Yes, I'm aware of differences between babies.
What is the max quantity you have seen for the #1's? I have seen 66's and 80's for the Huggies, but wonder if you can get larger quantity?
What is good price/unit that RFD'ers look for when shopping for these? (I assume that most here are well aware/conscious of the costs)

We don't use Huggies, Pampers seems to be the best for our daughter.
We bought the large box (Size 1 - 216, Size 2 - 184, Size 3 - 176...etc) from Superstore, Walmart sales. If you buy Huggies, check Costco. Some people like the Kirklands brand since they were made by Huggies.

I just stocked up on a shipload of Teddy's Choice size 1's last week. $6.88 (8.2c each) for 84 at RCSS. I was very skeptical at first as we've been using Pampers Swaddlers which were really good for our baby. However, after trying a few Teddy's last week, we were sold. They are a really good fit for our baby (whereas Huggies size 1's would leave gaps in the leg holes). It soaked up heavy pees and poos as well as the Pampers did.
They're $7.99 (9.5c each) this week but at this price, it's still worth a try. Although I find they fit like Pampers, so if your kid fits Huggies, it might not work out.

To the question, we don't worry about running around to save a dollar or two on Diapers, it is not worth our time.

I kind of agree with you. I got all the coupons for what we need. When our daughter was on newborn size (rarely go on sales), we used the coupon whenever.

i usually just buy parents choice at walmart, unless I have a coupon on something else. Can't complain on the quality so far.

We bought a pack of that last week first and compared it to Pampers that we have been using for past 6 months. Absolutely no difference. So we bought few more packs also. At $6.88 it was a steal.
Huggies didn't fit well with out child also.

I changed from Huggies to Pampers; found Huggies to be much bulkier for our daughter. When she started sleeping 5+ hours, we found that Huggies left a wet feeling on her diapers, haven't yet with Pampers (even with random 6 hours sleeps now). Also, you can feel wet diapers a lot easier with Pampers, and Pampers have a nice powdery scent to it. But again, it depends on your little one; every baby is different.

Thanks! This is good to know. I do miss the Pampers scent but I don't think baby notices any difference at all.
There's been a few heavy diapers already in the last few days and Teddy's held up every time. I think I'm a believe now. I hope there's another sale soon so I can get more.
