Very close call. I love hockey but watching the women's game this morning was extremely painful. The lack of speed, intensity and physical play just kills the game of ice hockey. With that being said it's still hockey and any kind of hockey game is more exciting than the pathetic WNBA. Has any WNBA'r dunked in a game? I have yet to see it. Granted the WNBA keeps me interested for about 2 minutes so I may have missed it.

It might have been painful to watch Canada beat Italy 16-0 today.

Ummm -- hmmm thats interesting that you use that game as an example. I guess if it was a bunch of 15 year old guys getting their butt kicked by a seasoned male team then it would have been a rivating as a NHL game?
Very interesting indeed. I very very much like the example you used. Got any others to use?

Feb 11th, 2006 10:42 PM #5WTF are you talking about? I'm talking about women's ice hockey in general. I didn't point out any specifics of todays game. The lack of speed, intensity and physical play is among ever women's ice hockey game. The women's gold medal game from 2002 was no different.

I heard there is a woman that dunked once, and it was a HUGE story in women's sports. I don't get it. I can't get into either sport. Watching todays hockey game reminded me of rec league hockey down at your local hockey rink. I would still watch hockey over basketball.
Heck, they should all stick to mud wrestlin
now thats entertainment!

Feb 12th, 2006 12:53 AM #10Yup you're quite right. What were Women THINKING trying to play basketball and ice hockey. They should just stick to cheer-leading, tennis, and ice skating.

with today's easy victory, its safe to say the canadian team didnt give it 100%. should wait and gauge their performance with a more formatible opponent. but taking nothing away, team canada pwned.

I like watching the ladies play basketball.
They play TEAM basketball unlike the men plus most of them can shoot freethrows.
Also, a girl won on a Nike high school basketball dunk championship I think about 3 years ago._______________
From a "Family" reviewer: "We Cheer teaches coordination, enticement to lust, women being used as sex objects, and team work."
From Worthy Playing: "We Cheer is, then, for all intents and purposes, the F-Zero GX of music games. It asks for so much, yet forgives so little. It is actually so casual that it's hardcore."

im glad the canadian women's hockey team are doing well but im with the majority here, i wouldnt' watch it
unless they can compete at the highest level like the men, i'm sure it would put me to sleep
women who can compete at the highest level are interesting however
i still can't believe michelle wie can drive a ball 300 yards.
im lucky to get it 180 yards

Nothing is more uninteresting than the WNBA.
At least in women's ice hockey they can do certain things that the men can do, be it a little slower. WNBA doesn't even look like they're playing basketball.
