What options are there for streaming Google music?

I've signed up for google music on my phone and its great. I was wondering what options there would be for a stereo or something (something simple) to cast to. I'm totally new to this casting stuff. I'd want something that works really easy so my wife/kids can use it.

Chromecast Audio works right out-of-the-box with your existing speaker systems that have an aux input or line input. Chromecast Audio also works on systems with RCA inputs and optical digital inputs.
Here's a list of compatible cables, plugs, and speakers:

Would it make more sense to just get a regular Chromecast then and attach it to a TV or does that not do music?

The Chromecast is an HDMI device, while the Chromecast Audio provides a line-level 3.5mm output.

If you have a device with an HDMI input and decent speakers etc. to stream to -- like an AV receiver or TV -- Chromecast would work well. If you just want to connect to a typical hi-fi receiver or a powered speaker, Chromecast Audio is the way to go.
