I would consider what happened at the Wal-Mart in Rhode Island during Black Friday pretty sociopathic. Stepping on a guy and killing him just to get a deal is pretty sad.

Sort of a followup to the FP thread:

The worst part is that people think he's helping the community.
Deal-seeking is one thing, but scumbags like these ruin it for the rest of us.

I think you people need to do a bit of research into what constitutes sociopathy.

Sociopathic behavior is throwing up on girls you like.
Like Kyle in South Park.
I've know quite a few sociopathic girls. Turn on the charm and one of them gets an uncontrollable twitch in her face._______________

None of these strike me as particularly wrong, when on every occasion, these very same companies try to make us spend as much as possible on crap we don't need. Built in obsolescence and all that.
I'm not a hoarder, and you won't catch me buying 10+ of the same item, but I did take advantage of a price error just today, saved about 40$. I don't see why I shouldn't use my head to save a few bucks on the stuff I buy when all it means are less corporate profits.

The regular people get screwed over no matter what. When you take advantage of a 'web error' all you're doing is screwing some rich CEO or the board of directors or stock holders. Not a big deal.
People still get fired and there is no job security, layoffs happen and they number in the thousands of employees.
Big business and corp interests are not your friend, and the normal rules of decency don't apply when dealing with them.
I wouldn't take advantage of a regular person, and I often sell things on the BST for lower than I could have when I meet them because I see the people and see them hurting and I get the feeling they aren't as well off as me. I give em good deals, give stuff away to 'strangers' and I know I'm helping people out.
But when FS or Walmart or BB or Rogers or Bell put themselves in a vulnerable position, goddamn right I will take advantage and do my gosh dang darndest to act like a ruthless mercenary and have no mercy.
I don't mind paying Teksavvy an extra buck or two, and I do (error in their favour), and have referred them to at least 5+ families. I help em out and don't mind giving them a few extra bucks because I know they are doing the right thing. Bell? I used some smart pricematching and bullying of CSRs to pay 20$ for highspeed for 2 years (when I had Bell).
If these corps cared about you at all, and their workforce, you wouldn't see them moving their factories to take advantage of the cheapest slave labor. With the bailouts etc, you're now finally seeing the true colours of the gov and big corps hand-in-hand. It's darkest before dawn.
