What size hose bib should I use for 3/4 inch pipe in yard?

The hose bib is in the middle of the yard . I connect a 100 ft hose to it. The hose has an inside diameter of 1/2 inch. I then attach a spray nozzle to end of hose. The steel supply pipe starts at 1 inch and is reduced 3/4 inch inside diameter by reducer. I bought a 1/4 turn bib with 3/4 inch thread but I now notice that the inside orifice is only maybe an 1/8 inch diameter. the old hose bib appeared to be 3/4 inch orifice. Am I causing unnecessary friction by using a narrow hose bib?

Most hose bibs only have a 1/4 inch orifice. My old valve is at least 1/2 inch orifice. I'm thinking I'd like 1 inch diameter valve to go with 1 inch pipe. of course Id have to get 1 inch inside diameter hose for this to make sense. where to do you buy larger valves for the garden?

What size is your water service?
Unless your house is huge, it's most likely only 3/4", going anything over that will be fruitless
