So it's a matter of the lesser evils, which one can one enjoy the most. Ideally, everybody wanting good canal sound has to ante up the big bucks. I definitely prefer the Sony's over the Koss. I'm not a bass head at all, but I actually find the Sony's kind of fun to listen too. It's like listening to classic Klipsch horn speakers, you *know* its fake, but it's lively and fun to listen to. If you can't get "all-natural", then go for the "tastefully enhanced" pair and enjoy your one night stand.
No doubt, but I'm not going to buy a 100$ pair of headphones for my cheapo 100$ MP3 player, the Koss it is.

i just picked up my pair of EXs at A&B at retail, was in an emergency rush for earbuds haha. Koss's weren't out at that time when iw as looking.
and if ur wondering, i'm using a 1st gen NetMD MZ-N707. yes... i'm not lazy and convert to atrac (though i am pissed off that u can't convert 320kbs mp3s to atrac, u need to convert ehm first to a lower bitrate, BAH)
