however, i totally feel for the OP and if that happened to me i don't actually know what i'd do. firstly, don't go back there...just don't get yourself into an uneccesary mess

Update: We have been told tonight (by a waitress there who can speak English, but not the manager why?) that if we don't take down the Facebook group within 48 hours, they will take legal action. They did apologized to my friend because they have to, or they really mean it? But they still try to list example such as "what if there's cockroaches inside your house and on your own dishes?" Seriously I don't know what does this statement has to do with their restaurant. Their excuses for the manager "use of terms" and waitress attitude is because of their language barrier, ok, and our action is hurting their company image (in terms of value). They asked what do we want, we told them straight we are not sure at this moment, we will seek legal advice and we have 47 hours to decide if we have to take down the FB group.

I have sent an e-mail to their corporation today @ 5:00p.m but I still haven't got an reply yet. I was wondering if the whole "legal action" thing was an idea from the corporation, or the manager there.

Did we cross the line?? Any advices? We are ready to seek legal advice tomorrow, and we got some law student from loo who are willing to help from FB?? WOW :thumbsup:

+1. but if everyone stops going then there's nothing to worry about. either way if it's determined they are unsafe, they will be forced to close by public health or will lose clientel and close

Destiny is crap.. they're well know for their non existant customer service.. I've gone once and have never been back... I stick to the higher quality Ten Ren(hwy7).

i guess since the news is only reporting on it and not allowed to state an opinion, it is seen as unbiased?
plus, it's not like this is big news. they most likely aren't gona take up space in the paper for a small story, where a million restuarants have been caught with unsanitary practises

We have already contacted the Health Inspection last morning (Dec08), and they will follow up withing 48hrs. We will seek legal advice whether or not we need to take down the FB group, we will if we have to. But I do think that people have the rights to know the fact. On top of that, we were just sharing the whole incident and feeling of Destiny, which we clearly listed on the FB Group Purpose. If no one @ fault, they shouldn't be feeling insulted by the FB group.

Yea I saw this on FB... its just disgusting. I'll stick with go for tea. I wonder if they'll go out of business from this.

thats freaking disgusting... at least u guys took pics to prove too. I say let the health department take care of it, they'll probably close the store down and that alone would cause several news stations to make a report on "famous asian bubble tea hangout join closed down". Which in turn makes bad publicity for them and from there they also won't be able to sue you.

Make sure the health dpt goes to check this place out, make sure they see those pics u got

keep us updated, i definetly am looking forward to hearing about this or the closure of destiny on the news, that would totally rock

now that u mention it was chocolate, i rmb several years ago, i opened a can of choclate powder that i was about to make hot chocolate with, and inside i found a live cockroach inside. I dunno how it got there, but needless to say i threw that can right out the window.... straight into destiny (jk about the destiny part).

Im guessin they didnt see the cockroach in the mixing powder
