What is wrong with Gateway laptops?
People don't seem to think much of them.
The reason i'm asking is that i'm about to buy one, and if I were to get the same specs from another brand i'd have to shell out at least 250 dollars more.
So what is bad about them? I heard they install a ton of bloatware, but a fresh OS install can fix that. So what other problems would I be left with?

I bought a refurbfrom TD 6 months ago, and I have bought alot of refurb stuff in the past and this was the first one with any problem. I used it for about 2 months with no problems but had always thought the fan was a little noisy. ANy way It just stopped powering up so they picked it up and I got it back 6 weeks later and it still never worked(same problem). Now oficially its over the 90day warranty when I phone for them to pick it back up. They made it sound like I should be thankful that they would still fix it over the waaranty period even though they just had it for 6 weeks and didn't fix it.When I got it back the last time, they replaced the motherboard, fan , processor, and HD. And it sounded totally different.
I then sold it for what I had paid for it 4 months before.
