I seared seasoned the ahi tuna that I bought yesterday, and seared it just so its cooked on the outside.
Thanks for the testing. I can't wait to make this now.

Similarly, does anyone still use the Costco salmon to make their own sashimi at home?

Not sure if it was posted before but Costco is finally carrying the bottled CANE SUGAR 24 pack of coke/sprite/Fanta orange. The case is 12 coke, and 6 each of sprite and Fanta for $23.99

I do
I want to make the salmon too but the pieces at Costco are just too big. I would try and make aburi salmon with it.

Do you use the salmon as sashimi straight from the package or do you freeze it first (ignoring if you have to portion size it out).

I think the smaller pieces get taken/sold first.

I don't think it's sushi grade.

I froze the tuna before using it. (Although my daughter made some the first night when we bought it. She also tried to make seared ahi tuna, but it didn't taste as good as mine.)

Got a nice smallish piece of fresh Halibut today. Noticed they're stocking WildBrine Organic Sauerkraut. New Chudleigh's frozen Chocolate Cream Pie. Ontario asparagus is in.

Still loving the Asian cashew salad kit, wish they were still stocking the Baja version from the same brand.

Interested in hearing how you cooked it?

Nice, will have to look for this. How big is the jar?

Dipped in beaten egg then dredged in seasoned flour, pan fried in sunflower oil. Gives it a nice light but crispy breading. The piece was thin so it worked well.

I didn't notice the size of the jar, just that it was bigger than the jar at Superstore Natural Values aisle.

I cut it in half and freeze, I defrost in the fridge

Is the Sauerkraut in a fridge or aisle? Didn't notice it at my local Costco.
