Cellphone churning is pretty popular here on RFD. So I'm wonder what's the best payout you got for the devices you sold?

Best was back in the day Apple used to release in NA before China. Would just buy a ton of iPhones on release and then sell them to a chinese shop shipping them to China, profit like $3-400 per phone.

Last year in March, I got $150 bill credit that stacked with $10 x 12 SPC on a medium tab phone purchase. That made the phone cost $136.80 overall. Most recently, I got $250 in PCO points on a medium tab phone purchase. Still not bad.
Koodo $35/5GB and $40/6GB

Cellphone churning really frosts some folks (me included because eventually the well will dry up), so best not to gloat.

I was like you for the longest time, then I had a talk with Bestbuy rep and now I see it differently. I'm not condoning completely abusing the system (get a real job folks) but if you're with koodo and you're not taking advantage of some of their offers, then that's really your loss.

P20 Pro + Watch 2, $0 upfront + $360 tab medium - $180 bill credit = $180 - $140 (sold the watch) = $40. Could be even better but didn't bother calling Koodo again.

oh yes that was a great deal but I was bit hesitant and by the time I called into get the deal, the watch was already out of stock.

I stay with Koodo for both my lines, & Koodo rewards me with extra hardware & bill credits from time to time. It would be similar to me getting a hardware upgrade on Fido & deciding to sell instead of keeping it, so I don't feel guilty personally. I do feel like the system Koodo has may change in the future, as it seems by far the most likely carrier to have new signup & immediate cancellation
I am a Koodo customer

I have taken advantage of their offers, iPhone 6 for my Mom, S7 for me, A8 for my son & S8 for my wife from the 2 plans we have, but I don't want the offers to stop, so don't condone gloating over how much money I've cheated out of Koodo.

I don't see where the cheating is taking place. The rules are 100% determined by Koodo. There was no theft taking place. Personally I am not gloating here. I don't think anyone is. OP asked people to share their experiences with Koodo phone purchases. We are all doing just that.

The RFD mantra is.... Buy now think later. Two weeks ago, I decided to sleep on an offer to get a P20 pro for $310 all in on either small or medium tab. I woke up next morning to see the offer gone. Ever since then, I recite the RFD mantra to myself daily.

In my mind, churning is cheating, no different than ticket scalping. Everyone's moral compass is different, I guess. I would just hate to see some pinhead in a suit bring a thread like this into a focus group and kill the program. I'd hate to have to go back to buying Moto Gs.

Try to use your moral compass within the koodo device agreement, it has absolutely nothing to do with cheating. And please don't compare churning to ticket scalping, that's just LOW verrry LOOOW and it's illegal like 99.9% of time.

How's it cheating?
Isn't the consumer(s) job to do their homework & cross-shop to get the best deal possible.
Unfortunately not everyone does it.

Also I'd like to add ticket scalping is totally different from Koodo churning.
Ticket scalping is where there's a limit of availability, hence drive the prices up.
Whereas Koodo its available to everyone, it's just there are people who are reluctant to do it.
