At the same time, it's listed on Ebay, the current bid is 350.00 and last week an identical item sold for 425.00.........
I've learned my lesson here... if you want to sell it for 500.00, ask 575.00.....if you ask 50.00 someone will offer 35.00 for it.

Yeah, I hear ya. I'm selling a sound card right now, some guy put in a bid less than I was willing to accept. I declined and pointed out the prices that the item is selling for new. He replies that he's going to get one from ebay for $10 USD (completely missing the point that he'll pay $24 USD for shipping.)
Then he sends me another PM asking for a comparison between my card and an Audigy 2. What a choad.

Agreed
There are a lot of people that think items should be priced below their real value. I just ignore these people. They are the lowballers. However, if they can show me an advertised price that is lower, I would be more than happy to adjust my price.
eBay has several million patrons. Red Flag is a local community forum. That is the difference. I prefer the local community over eBay. That is why I sell here. If I don't get my asking price, I move on. I will adjust my price according to fair market value.
If someone lowballs you on a notebook. Move on. All you need is one person willing to pay a fair price.

I just totally ignore lowballers altogether. It's funny to watch them sending multiple PMs or emails wondering why I'm not responding.
