I remember a many year back petsmart use to sell dogs but now I notice they don't sell dog anymore!
I want to see an minature goodendoodle in person but it seem the only breeders i can find on kijiji is on the other side of ontario.
I also been researching on a cockapoo but no luck finding one to see in person eather....
my question is.... HOW do you buy a dog now that pet store don't sell them anymore?! I really don't want to drive 8h to buy a dog.

A breeder, obviously. Or if you decide to consider other breeds, then a shelter that adopts out dogs. Sorry, but if this isn't clear to you (that there are other places to get a dog other than a pet store), maybe you aren't ready for a dog. There are loads of resources for how to find a breeder for a dog you want ie Dogs in Canada magazine, websites of the breed organization you are interested in, etc.

you have options:
1) make your life easier
and don't bother buying a dog
= too much work
you have to spend money on a dog (vet, groomer, food)
you have to clean up after your dog
- it's non-stop
= dog barking will annoy you and your neighbours
you can buy another breed of dog if you can't find a breeder near your home

Go to a shelter. So many dogs need homes. All my pets, cats and dogs, have been from shelters, zero problems with them and they have all been beautiful companions. Plus you get that warm fuzzy feeling of having saved a living thing.

This site is a good source for backyard breeder and puppy mill puppies. I would avoid it.
If you're looking for a purebred puppy, contact the breed club for the breed you want - they can put you in touch with a reputable breeder.
If you want to rescue a dog, as Catherine111 mentioned, http://www.petfinder.com/index.html is a fantastic source.

I bought my Bichon from a Vet because I wanted a pure bred / certificate but it was expensive.

I bought my dog off of Kijijij, we were pretty lucky to find a breeder that didn't care too much about making a profit.

Yes, however here is the problem, reputable breeders have a line up of buyers to choose from, and a person who asks why pet shops don't sell dogs anymore has a zero chance of getting a dog from reputable breeder.
Pet shops used to be a distribution channel for puppy mills, thankfully it got such a bad rep that most of them abandoned the practice. Most reputable breeders don't advertize (because they have great buyers lined up so what's the point), the once you find on kijiji, and through other forms of advertising aren't as repubable as they seem on the surface and for the most part should be avoided.
Rescue groups are a great source, again unless they have too many dogs and not enough poeple to adopt to OP will have no chance, so spca, humane society and such remain the only good source to get a dog for OP if he/she passes basic interview.
OP, just google some info about buying a dog, what to avoid, what to expect, spend some time reading before getting one, those designer dogs while small and cute they actually aren't a fashion accessory, they are life creatures.
PS, I would hate to be a dog and have any type of "poo" in the description, gotta suck to be a poo.

Seriously consider going through a rescue group or pound for a dog. There are SO many fantastic dogs out there that desperately need homes. All these little goldendoodles and 'designer' dogs will have no problems finding homes even at $2000 a pop, but you should really consider this.
If you are 100% set on a particular breed, check kijiji and send out some emails to find legitimate breeders.
FYI: There are a lot of scam artists out there, particularly selling more popular breeds and especially on Kijiji. When I first started looking for a dog on there, people would take pictures of puppies from google images (you could find them easily as they usually selected the first ones that appeared in the search). They would try to get you to pay and then ship the puppy to you. BAD IDEA. One even sent me a link to their website which had pictures of all the fake puppies. No address or phone numbers of course, just an email. Their supposed ranch was a few hours from my house, so I emailed asking if I could swing by. They made up some BS excuse about the puppies not being there and that they could arrange to deliver them after I sent them payment. Be very careful, and obviously don't pay unless the dog is in front of you.
Good luck!
