Where to buy plastic wheelnut caps for 01' sunfire gt?
I am missing 8 wheel caps (4 on two tires) and have contacted GM and almost stroked once I heard the price was $6.00/each for a piece of plastic.
Can anyone recommend where to purchase aftermarket wheel caps for my 01' pontiac sunfire gt? I don't care if they are black or silver, whatever is cheapest, I just want to protect the nut so that I does not strip or damage anymore.
Where can I find cheap alternative to GM's?
Thanks

You should be shocked that it is so cheap. Aftermarket caps are more then $10 a piece.
I paid $50 a piece for my Accord and $25 for my Focus.

But that's marked up still. You know the actual cost of it from the factory? A piece of plastic, I wouldn't be suprised if it cost GM under $1 in actual costs to produce it.

If you lived in BC I would tell you to try Lordco, but since you're in Ont you can either try an auto wrecker or the "Lordco" equivalent. The wrecker would be your cheapest bet since you don't care about colour etc.....another alternative would be either new enclosed hubcaps or closed style acorn lug nuts....

$1 to make + $1 to package + $1 to ship + $1 to stock +$1 employee salary +$1 taxes/tarrifs + $1 profit +++++++
lots more than just manufacturing costs to pricing......

Junker is probably your best bet.
I'm missing one of these black caps
Not to worry, someone lost mine about 2 years ago, so I didn't cover the locking nut, and it hasn't rusted one bit (probably because it's a yellowy alloy of some sorts)

If you can find the right one and if it is not too far away from where you live the price of a used wheel cap at Standard Auto Wreckers is $5.49 + taxes.

Go to a big parking lot like a mall or something and find a Sunfire like yours... the rest is up to you

Those plastic caps are not going to protect the nut from rusting or stripping. They are purely there for asthetics.
