Where to buy roof/cross rails for my Hyundai Veracruz?
anyone know the best (cheapest) place to buy the cross rails for the roof for a hyundai veracruz?
the dealership wants $270 + taxes
i would prefer the oem ones, but have seen aftermarket ones that are 1/3 the price, and are stronger, but dont look as nice.
any places in the gta? or online, maybe in the US?
Also, i am considering either a box carrier or a bag carrier. for those who have one, can you comment on your experiences? would seem as though the box carriers are more popular however the bags seem more versatile and flexible, however im wondering how they are in terms of wind resistance. is there a lot of noise? especially with the sunroof open?

I have a box, bag, ski/snowboard and bike attachments for my roof rack. What type of stuff do you plan on using it for? Boxes are good because they can store oversized items such as snowboards and skis but they will rob your fuel economy so if you don't need to use it I would suggest you take it off. I only use my box if I am going away on long trips and have lots of stuff to pack with me. The only accessory I am missing in my collection is a basket but I am keeping my eye on craigslist or kijiji. This is what I suggest you do because this stuff is certainly not worth the retail price. I got OEM roof rails for my Passat for $100 which were pretty much mint and the dealer wanted close to $300 without the lock cylinders which I picked up from rack attack anyways. My box I picked up for $200 and a similar one from the store goes for around $700+taxes. So just be patient and search daily because the good deals get snagged right away. As for the noise, even with no accessories and just the bar you will get wind noise. There is an accessory you can buy which is a front ferring which attaches to the front rail and attempts to deflect the air up. Got mine used for $30
I would go check out, sometimes they might have some deals on used racks, bars and other accessories.
