Many shoe companies forbid the shipping of their shoes from the U.S. to international destinations. (This is presumably to protect the shoe companies' local distributors in Canada and elsewhere.)

I know lots of runners that order New Balance, Asics, Nike, and other brands from the US sites and ship here with no issues. Never heard of shoe companies forbidding this. I just ship to the US to save the extra money and don't mind the drive down to pick them up.

I say find the lowest price and place an order. Worst case it doesn't go through. Best case you save a ton. Shoes are way over priced in Canada.

Dont forget many of the US sites also have coupons out there to get even more savings.

I got two pairs of Asics (nimbus 12 and women's kayano's) from Al's Sports in the states with shipping and marked as gift (no duty) for $112 (thread). Stock changes but there is always a good deal.

If you want to stay here - the Running Room online clearance store occasionally has good prices and they deliver to the stores. Otherwise as stated above, the warehouse is great.

Depends. I wear only New Balance. I'm a size 11 normally, but always a size 11.5 for running shoes. But the US sites do offer free returns/exchanges and I have taken advantage of that a few times with running jackets and pants.
