where can i buy these speakers

i tried installing 6x9 speakers into my car found out after taking the car apart that i need 5x7 speakers for the rear of the car. i went to a few places and i can only find cheap stuff at walmart in that size for 15 each or go to bestbuy and get the alpines for 135 plus tax which is way out of the price range. im looking for 5x7 speakers which cost a max of 110. i see some nice ones on ebay- sony but they dont have them in stores and its not on the sony website. are 5x7 speakers hard to find these days? im going to buffalo next week and the bestbuy.com has some but they are still over 120 dollars. anywhere in the gta, markham, richmond hill area. or even hamilton or buffalo?

Some 6x9s can work in a 5x7 space in some cases, with an adapter plate. You will need additional height though so if there isn't enough, it won't be possible.

The mainstream car audio companies (who make good HUs for example but don't usually make very good speakers for the most part) like Pio, Kenwood, etc. often have speakers in this size. But yeah they are getting more rare as most cars have stopped using the stupid oval sizes (though 6x9s are invariably still used in many applications unfortunately). 5x7 is going the way of 4x10 I believe--the way of the dinosaur, heh.

However the best advice is to forget about the rear speakers and invest more money on your front stage and amp instead. Your rear seat passengers may be less happy, but your ears will be a lot more happy
