Where can I buy a vernier caliper?

I was wondering if anyone knew where in Toronto i can find:

- a vernier caliper
- a ruler to measure the thread count of a screw

Princess Auto usually have them or you can take it to Brafasco, the guys there are usually helpful.

You can go to Tomas skinner, house of tools (its cheap stuff though) basically anywhere that deals with machinist tools.

Its called a pitch gauge

Digital vernier caliper, got a few of these. You want one with AUTO SHUTOFF.

They're not really a vernier when it is digital
the name vernier comes from the use of the vernier scale

Hmmm good point. Do people still use those?
I have the "analog" dial/gauge readout type as well.
