Where Can I sell Canadian Gold Coins?
Hi,
We have a few $100 Canadian Gold Coins made in 1980. Does anyone know where I go to find out what these are worth now? Where can I go to sell these if I want to? Thanks

IIRC 1980 was one of the highest gold price years ever on record. Although we're higher than that now, not by much (I think it was $600-$700/oz back then). If I were you I'd try to sell them as coins instead of as gold. Talk to a coin dealer and/or purchase a coin price book.

I will take them for a reasonable asking price.
Buyers generally will never give you close to what its worth.

From my experience, most gold coins don't fetch much more of a premium over their material worth. Considering the 1980 100 dollar gold coin is a 22kt .6oz coin, I wouldn't expect more than $550.
