Where did the futureshop and bestbuy threads go?

Provided I don't post links and such on this board, I feel it would be unfair if I got banned.

If so, then RFD is only becoming the enforcing and censorship arm of these companies. While I understand you have an advertising relationship with them, as long as I'm NOT posting the links here and such, I'd like an explanation of why I would be banned.

As I replied to your PM:

The information was clearly leaked and never meant to be released at this stage. For competitive reasons, it would be very damaging to them if they were released and we are not in business of opposing retailers.

Furthermore, it's not like you could purchase the items at this time. Visitors will still have ample opportunity to view the flyer and shop at these stores.

As for why you would be banned:

We have clearly asked that you NOT distribute the information that should have never been released. The second side of it is that you would be putting us in harm's way for potential legal action which we have no interest in being involved in.

Could it posibly be because you are still talking about sharing the files that were saved in the open forum.

After getting many PM's i thought i should post this. Please do not PM me asking for the links to the pictures, or to send the files to you. Derek requested that i do not share the flyer, that i saved from anther website, with anyone so i will respect his request.

Any PM i get asking for the flyers will be ignored.

1) If, as you say, I cannot purchase the items at this time...then where is a damage to the retailer created? If anything, it will encourage more shoppers to shop at their store(s) on Boxing Day to take part in the excellent deals they are offering.

2) I won't use this board to distribute that information. However, I am going to make every effort to distribute it without involving this website in any fashion. How I acquire the files, where I host them, and what I do with them is no longer the concern of this site if I in no way use it. If you ban me for exercising my own discretion UNRELATED to this site, I'll come back. Plain and simple.

1) The damage is that competitors will know what Boxing Day offers they are releasing and can them counter.

2) We can't stop you from doing what you want outside of the RFD community. Inside is another story.
