Where to get your appliances and your bargaining strategy?
Need some help as well. Kitchen aid will have the promotion on Monday, 3 appliances = 15%, 4 =20%. I know people say Sears will match. Also, wheeve do you get your appliances in reasonable good price and how to make the retailer price match? With the 20% for 4 appliances, I am looking for free standing range, refrigerator, disk washer and range hood. Just want to make sure as much saving as possible.
Anyone with this shopping experiences, please share and where to buy?
Thanks everyone in advance?

I emailed and faxed every appliance store I could in my city with the exact make/model requesting a quote with a specified delivery date. Got a lot of quotes back (even big places like Leon's prepared and emailed back a quote within a couple of days with prices lower than their advertised prices). I took the lowest of those and went to Sears Home and asked a salesman if he could beat them. He did (and it was at a significant discount to their marked prices). No real negotiating or dealing with salesmen involved. When you submit a "request for quotation" to stores (not typical behavior of retail consumers) they know they are going to give you 1 quote and that it is almost certain your seeking other quotes, so they'll give you close to the best price they'd be willing to sell at.

+1. That's what we did. I think our overall purchase was at least 25-30% of the list prices. The key is that you need to know EXACTLY what brand/model that you want in order to get a precise quote, so very important to nail this down first.

My wife and I did basically the same thing as well with Sears home. Great experience with them.

The kitchenAid package that they have

Really offer significant discount and on top, they have 20% discount from KitchenAid promotion, is this a good deal?
Thanks.
