My parents just bought a new car and we want to junk our old 1998 Chevorlet Venture. (170,000 KMS) Where should we junk it to so we can get some cash back? Anyone know a good program?

I heard a program that the government offers, something about $300 for junking your old car. Someone told me it was car heaven, but when I went to the website, it didn't say anything about giving us $300. It just said something about towing the vehicle (valued up to $200). So basically we get no cash just the tow which is worth $200. Too bad my van doesn't need towing.

Any some help would be appreciated.

call around to a couple of tow truck drivers, they'll usually give you something for it.

If it's still driveable I don't see why you wanna get rid of it. 170k is not bad at all. I assume it's the 3.4L.
