They have exactly the same shapes/ergonomics as do the ps2 dualshock joypads, except the colours/key printings (i.e. 1,2,3,4 instead of square/sphere/triagle/cross etc), and except they're usb joypads for PCs.
the precise resemblance of ps2 pads is important, coz i've got this weird obsession about it
for example, NONE of the following 3 pads are what i'm talkin' about:
However, these are GOOD:
compared to original PS2 dualshock:
just wondering where in GTA or online canadian stores may i find those babies?
thx!

Apr 15th, 2006 02:05 AM #6Agreed. I have the same one and it works perfectly with my PS Dual Shock controller. Most PC controllers have a crappy directional pad. (for fighting games)

Apr 15th, 2006 04:38 AM #8Because the OP seems to be interested in a pad that's identical to the PS one. How much more identical can you get than the actual PS pad? Not to mention that it rumbles and that the adaptor is cheaper than $20 even on regular price. I've seen it go for $10 at Radioshack/CC when it's on sale.

There is a dual analog logitech game pad. I've seen it, it's common in stores, sells for little, and it looks just like the ps2 controller. I have used this. Do not buy it. I've also read reviews, so I am not the only one. What happens to mine is that it gets "auto-disconnected". The connection is lost and I must plug in/out the usb cable all the time. Also when you press the analog buttons while pressing a whole bunch of other buttons as you would expect to do. The analog buttons get jammed. Say you press left on the analog while pressing x or something...eventually something might happen where the computer still thinks you are pressing left on the analog and it will only be cured until it's....replugged in.
Try getting the x360 for PC controller. Or just buy a xbox controller and do the home mod. I really enjoyed it. I did a great job on the soldering and it works great! Except I might have trouble playing some games because there is no r1 r2. But u can change the config, and it's a REAL comfy THICK strong controller to use.
