Blue Mountain is the best one near GTA. If you buy their season pass before October 24th, you will get 50% off the original price. e.g. night pass is only $79 and 5X7 is $149 before Oct. 24th.

blue mountain is the best I know that much. But it is like 100 miles form my house, which is like a 2 hour drive in the winter time, Gas is going to kill me not to mention the fact that I will spend more time driving than skiing.

Lakeridge's night pass is a good deal $130 if you buy the coupon book.
Downhill skiing sucks there. It's only worth getting the pass if you're either a beginner, or you're there for the pipe and park.

another vote for blue mountain, i like the fact that its serviced by the bus @ yorkdale. hassle free for me, i'm usually too tired to drive after snowboarding.

Dang there is a bus that goes to blue mountain? How much is it and how long is the ride?
I am thinking of going to glen eden, it is only like 50 km from my house, where as blue mountain is like 160 km. Driving both ways to blue mountain would be 320 km, I drive a SUV so that would literally destroy 40-50 bucks worth of gas._______________

Doesn't Glen Eden really suck though?
I've never skiied there, but it sure doesn't look like much. Kind of reminds me of Chicopee in Kitchener(which bored me to tears).
I haven't skiied in years, but I'd probably prefer to go to a good ski resort like Blue Mountain and actually enjoy myself.
Though the downside of Blue Mountain is that it gets really busy.

I have never been to glen eden, I just know from word of mouth. I would really love to get a seasons pass at blue mountain but the distance is such that I do not think that it would be economical.

Depending on your skiing ability - I found Lakeridge to be okay for beginners/intermediate. It's only 45 minutes away from 404/steeles which makes it a helluvalot closer than the 2-2.5 hour trek to Blue (although blue would be better for intermediate/experts). I think Horseshoe would be closer too - maybe 1.5 hours? But don't forget that in the winter time your driving time will be longer depending on weather conditions. Have fun!
