where to work out for the summer?
hey guys, I'm a student looking for a good gym to work out during the summer. I only want to be a member for may-august since I'll be going out of town for school in september. I recently got a flyer for the dunfield club by extreme fitness in the mail, they claim no annual membership and $8/week - which works for me because I don't want to be on a one year membership.
so what are the best options? low cost, good gym and close to victoria park and eglinton area, as well as no annual membership. what are my options?

YMCA, like he said....and yes, it has a gym.
The Y is one of the few places that will do month by month based memberships. Fitness clubs like you mentioned don't typically like or do monthly type memberships.

Not the greatest of facilities but check out your local park&rec. Memberships are usually like $50 for 3mths or something. They had the basic when I was in HS and on a tight budget. -sg

Ya, downtown is good. Does UTScarborough have a good gym?
If you're in highschool the rate for the summer is $120.

it's not a bad choice at all.
ymca is also a really good choice. you can get in and get out no strings whenever you want and you can trust them with your info and to do the right thing. also the downtown Y is one of the best clubs in the city (of all gyms) and has some of the best equipment.
