Who has had their bike stolen?
If so, how many times?
I'm sure the going rate will be almost %100 but just wanted to hear any stories from others.
I've lost 2. First, back when I was about 12 years old parked outside the now closed arcade at Brimely and Eglinton (I went there for years without any problems or locking it up), but my laziness finally caught up to me. It was a supercyle, green one.. man I loved that bike. The thing was durable and undestructable, as it was my daily transportation through snow, trails... everywhere! From what I can see, CT still sells the same one but in blue, but from what I've heard, quality isn't as good. I think they use more plastic nowadays, as I remember alot of metal on my old one.
Another one, I had shortly after was a used Raleigh someone gave to me, that was a good one too... durable and never had any problems. Heck, I didn't even know about oiling the thing but was just like my first one, as it too was dependable. That one was stolen right out of my garage even though the door was closed!
Dammn thieves!!

Only once. About 5 or 6 years ago, had my bike leaning against the house in the backyard, and it didn't have a lock. Someone swiped it in the middle of the night. I never called the police because it wasn't worth it...the bike was just a beater. I wouldn't have even gotten $10 for it at a garage sale.

My bike was stolen at my high school with the lock chopped off.
One week later it was returned in the same spot unlocked.
Such a weird event, and I'm surprised it wasn't stolen for the second time.
That bike took me forever to save up for, so happy I got it back

I had my bike stolen once, the stupid guy came back about a week later riding it down my street into the co-op area and a lot of people on my street who knew about it saw the guy and started chasing him down (on foot) it was pretty funny, the guy dropped the bike and ran. At least I got it back.

Once about 6 years ago in the garage. It was opened and unattended at the time. It was a crappy tire bike so I didn't feel to bad about it.

Almost every regular bike rider I knew had their bike stolen at one point or another. That's why I use in-line skates instead. Not too much slower, and I can carry stuff in my hands too.

Dam man.. did realize how many people get their bikes stolen
My bike is so rusty. I park it at the school unlocked nobody takes it. I left it over the weekend once because I forgot it and was to lazy to get it back nobody takes it. I have it in my backyard unlocked nobody takes it. I drive by and little kids from the elementary school make fun of me... lol
I almost want it to get stolen so I can get a new one. But hey it works well and gets me around and has a very little chance of being stolen. So I am more than happy.

Never had a bike stolen but I keep my bike in the kitchen. I don't trust the garage.
