Had to think about this for a couple of days but finally bought it. Getting good reviews around the web and seems quite practical especially for phones that are big and/or people who have smaller hands. I have big hands and even the Note II can be cumbersome to use at times. Check this video out and seems like you have to order this through the supplier themselves. A little expensive $24.99 + shipping which cost $13 shipped to Mississauga anyway. A little costly for a piece of plastic and a bit of metal but I bought it for the practical use of it. Anyway www.flygrip.com is the site.

I contemplated on getting it and finally budged. expensive please of plastic I must say. It's being shipped right now.

The note 2 has incredible battery life! I think this is the first android phone that can last me the entire day without charging! My note 1 would die within 5 hours of heavy use (i use it for business use: heavy data usage and phone usage from browsing, youtube, 4 different emails synching every 5 minutes, etc). The note 2 really surprisef me to have 15 percent battery life after a day if very heavy use!

That's interesting. The Gesture Keyboard is a 4.2 JB feature (http://www.android.com/whatsnew/) and it's not mentioned in the 4.1 JB at all (http://www.android.com/about/jelly-bean/).

I also have the i317M. Maybe you lucked out and got it included. I know the update 4.1.2 is suppose to have some of the 4.2 features but even that's not available officially for me yet.
Check in your Samsung keyboard settings and select continuous input. That gets the swyping going for me. Very good implementation IMHO.

Does anyone know what the "gesture guide" applies to under settings>language and input>samsung keyboard>handwriting?
I can't figure out where you can use those gestures...

they only seem to work with complete recognition on, not stroke.

I downloaded an awesome auto correcting keyboard app and I got the best of both worlds. It even has a swipe feature that builds the word as you swipe above your finger. The top letter row also doubles as the number 0-9 by holding the qwertyuiop keys down for slightly longer than normal. or you can go to the numbers by tapping the 1-3 button. It's the ONE and ONLY thing I missed changing from my iphone that auto correction.

4.1.1 here and there is a swype like feature built in. Enable continuous input under Samsung keyboard.
