Nevertheless, not me. I am fine with the 16GB. Don't use the space up a lot even with music. I guess it depends to one's needs?

+1, the only thing I've done is used a 16GB expandable microsd card for my previous phones for installing apps or for music.

Most of my pictures and videos I've created from my previous phones have already been backed up onto a couple of my hard drives. I don't need them to be on my new phone. The only thing that takes up data is if I take new pictures and videos, which I rarely do now, apps, and MP3s (less than 500mb worth).

Even when I had 48GB on my SG2 I still didn't go over 16GB initial limit on my phone. Although I will say that being able to transfer files through an SD card is easier than doing it over wifi for me.

Would be nice for HD movies, but I can just plug in a USB stick for that.. they're cheap too. All my music is on Google Music, I still have a ton of space.

USB-TO-GO is a good alternative. But I'm not sure if Nexus support it officially.

A single 720p movie is around the vicinity of 4-5gb. An hour long episode is 2gb, half an hour long episode is 1gb

especially considering you're watching on a sub-5" screen, there's absolutely no reason you NEED to have HD videos. a decent quality avi looks more than fine on that screen. you've already got a better pixel density on almost any phone than on a big screen HDTV.
