I honestly wouldn't think she looks 23... It's probably just what your used to and your perception of age...

You always hear asians look younger than their age but I honestly think you can easily tell she is in her late 30s or early 40s. You are just comparing to the age of a Caucasian's I guess, but yeah in the end it's just genetics and how well you take care of yourself (your skin etc)...

I see alot of asians that look *older* than their age too...

Unless talking about asians is exempt from RFD rules. Is it?

When Japanese people pronounce the "R" sound it comes out sounding like an "L".

...I know. I've taught English in Japan for a year.

That is according to white folk (not being lacist, just observation). A lot of them have trouble guessing the age of asian people so they think they are young looking until old age. Ask an asian to guess another asian person's age and they will have a much better estimation.

Tons of make-up, the eye thing, certain poses for the camera that is optimal, and generally, they tend to eat healthier and smaller portions so you don't get excessive fat or the water retention/loss look.

My mom is 63 but looks like she's still in her 40's. She does dye her hair, but otherwise she barely has a wrinkle.

Unfortunately (to me), I inherited the same youthful look. I only have 2 strands of white hair (same ones from when I was a teen) and I still get people thinking I'm in university, or even highschool. I shared this in another thread but I went to Boston with my wife this summer and we were checking in at the hotel. The lady at concierge asked us if we were in town to look for a university and we just told her we're actually escaping from our 2 children. She had a look of shock and embarassment.

So IMO, it's all genetics. Nothing to do with skincare. As a male, I feel it's a curse and nobody takes me seriously.

Genetics, I'd wager. It doesn't matter what ethnicity you are - anyone can possess the genetics to look younger for a longer period of time.
