I never understood one thing.
Why is it that Jewish and Indian women tend to only marry within their own race?
Cuz it still puzzles me as to why Indian and Jewish girls almost always have a man of their own race in mind to marry before they even meet one. Seems like there's a double standard, where the guy can get less resistance from his culture for marrying outside his race, whereas the girl is ostracized for doing so. I have NEVER met a Jewish girl marrying or dating a non-Jewish guy but I have met or read about in magazines at least 100 Jewish men marrying non-Jewish girls. Must be good being a guy in this culture, but suck for a girl cuz she can only choose from a pool of guys who can look beyond race but she can't.
However, Jewish and Indian guys often marry out to women of other races. For example, look at Hollywood and you see lots of Jewish guy CEO's marrying non-Jewish women. But if out of curiosity, you ever look in newspaper ads, a Jewish woman is ALWAYS looking for a Jewish man, even if she's divorced. Makes me wonder what the point of that is.

Actually... interacial marriage is not officially condemed by any of the major religions according to their sacred text.
However they do encourage a fostering of the religion and some other criteria which almoost makes it seem as if your not allowed, but really you are._______________

Actually I was not referring to the religion as condemning.
I was more curious about people themselves, and why trends are as they are.LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked gokart for this post.

Hmmm thats weird... Considering that in judaism, if a mother is jewish then the child is jewish no matter what religion the father belongs to, so they should care less... It's the guys that should be worried...
But as a jewish male, I can understand why the jewish guys don't like jewish girls :D hehe, I dont know, can't explain it really...
As for Indian women (and men i guess), they were brought up in a culture that has arranged marriages...
It's all based on culture and how one was brought up, I'm sure you could say the same about other religions as well, ya know. People tend to marry into their own culture, religion, status etc.

Why do you see alot more black men with white women as oppose to white men with black women?
Why do you see alot more asian women with white men as oppose to asian men with white women?

For me, I think the attraction is how they act... I just don't want to marry someone like my mom...she nags so much :o
Whenever I see someone that is my race of the opposite sex I am usually not attracted to them... That and growing up in Canada probably did it.LOG IN TO THANK No one has yet thanked guest10586 for this post.

Well with indian girls there are ones that fool around with white, black etc.. but when it comes to marriage they usually end up with brown as they dont want to upset their parents who might not be modern or relatives.
Older indian parents were used to children in their country not fooling around and obeying their parents, and arrange marriage. But when they came to canada see how some white people dont obey parents, skip school, drugs, teenage pregnancy, girls or boys going out with many different partners before marriage. They worry that when their child goes out with them they will just end up going a relationship that wont last. Also things like their families wont have anything in common or get along etc... when actually it might be a great thing.

I dated a Punjabi girl in my final year of college (back in 1989).
She was born in The Punjab, but raised in England. The East Indian look and British accent was a nice combination.
She was also quite good looking, with her long black hair and dark eyes. She was also very interesting to speak with.

She was married within 2 months to a guy from India that she met days before her wedding. She had no real say in the matter. You do not dishonour your family in their culture.
Old world family debts follow the family into the new world.
To this day, I still take the time to notice an East Indian woman.
The one I was with briefly was quite good looking and very passionate.

Well, I live in a heavily Jewish Area of Toronto, Bathurst/Finch and go to a very Jewish school, and a lot of jewish girls go out with non-jews.
