Why do People sell BNIB
I've been looking at the Buy/Sell Video Game forums alot lately and i've noticed that alot of ppl are selling their Xbox360 BNIB for alot less than retail.
My question is why would people buy an Xbox 360 from Bestbuy for ($570 incl tax) then sell it here for $400, if it is BNIB (from my understanding it means sealed) why not just return it to the store?
Should i worry that these are stolen?
please comment

Stolen? Able to get them cheap from someone else (who stole them)?

If you buy a BNIB one, make sure the seller has a receipt.. I believe M$ has some fancy anti-piracy thing in which stolen consoles don't work on Live.. as in, 360's have to be legitimately sold.

Also, watch out for people who try to pass off used stuff as BNIB. Some say "well I only took it out to look at it" and call it BNIB, but who knows maybe they used it for a couple weeks and dusted it off into prefect cosmetic shape. So unless it's factory sealed, be careful with people claiming BNIB.

Likely to be bought from Shoppers Drug Mart using the Optimum Points gained through the 20X the points + referral chain.
I wouldn't worry too much about it.

lies... BNIB means they used it for a bit, but they kept it in really good condition.

Yeah seriously. Sellers always lie. BNIB means it was opened, played with and then repackaged so it could be sold. The sellers have buyer's remorse and cannot return it anymore. Even sealed products are shady as they can easily be resealed with a machine. Most likely things like Bluetooth headsets are fake and anything like a phone may invite problems if there isn't a carrier branding on it, as it may have originally come from the land of the fakes (eBay).

o_O don't scare people. BNIB = brand new in box.
it's pretty obvious if the box is tampered (ie., no manufacture tape, evidence of resealing). I dont' htink anyone would fraud something like BNIB. if it's been played around with, the seller will say so._______________
