Why does my username have an asterisk beside it?

As seen here:

Could HAVE, not could OF. What does 'could of' even mean?

I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that's just to signify that that is your account. I always see the * next to my name in the list as well.

Where do you get that Thread Information bar? I primarily use a laptop and don't see it.

that's all I am bothered to check. Seems like a random tick someone decided to randomly....tick off. no rhyme or reason that I can tell on why some forums had it enabled & others not.

OT and BST are part of a different ruleset / config for several reasons. The admins decision to not "tick the box" may have been done on purpose or was simply an oversight due to the different rulesets for those forums I'm sure @TomRFD can confirm.
