I am registered on Quora and one of the Dominos manager wrote that they tried to sell pizza by the slice but during the experiment they sold about 1 pizza this way. They won't sell smth that nobody buys.
Yeah... they used to, at least in one of the locations in Toronto when I was a kid.

Maybe that's why they can afford 50% off every monday and a few weeks during the year.

High traffic areas slices sell so fast. $4-5 per slice you're looking at huge profits instead of waiting 10 minute for a personal size pizza. No body has time for that.

Isn't Monday generally the slowest sales day for restaurants? For retail stores, Mondays are always slow.

It must be an American thing. Go big or go home. Us Canadians love the option to walk in and get a slice. I had dominoes for the first time in a long time. Ordered in advanced for walk in. Was ready, and piping hot. Ate at the place.. and man, that thing was like crack. Reminds of the way the McDonald's pizza used to be but a more sophisticate version.

Reheated slices don't taste as good as fresh slices/pizza.
Cold slices the next morning are great.

Apologies to anyone in the area while my body digests questionable cheese and modified milk products.

Tasted awesome going in at least.

Domino's pizzas are so small compared to other places. Hate their sauce, it's weird.Confused Face

Everybody has an opinion. Try the pizza with extra cheese. You'll notice the sauce a lot less.

It's Ironic that I'm seeing this thread today.

I was on my way home last night after a long drive. There are very few fast food options between the highway off-ramp and my house, if I take the shortest/fastest route. One of the options is a Dominos Pizza. I've never gone to the location before, but thought a slice of pizza would be great. So, I drove into the parking lot, and saw from the window they had no slices on display. Being tight for time, I moved to the next option, and got Tim Horton's for the third time of the weekend. I took advantage of all day breakfast, and got a bagel BELT.
