These Super Phones cost between $200 to $1,000 so that could be the reason.
*knock-on-wood* the last time I dropped my phone was back in the day with Sony Ericsson W580i, my shorts had a hole and went thru.Big chipped.
Today, my cases are slim basically a back cover with screen protector, waiting for my Nillkin from eBay to arrive. To prevent scratches not drops, so resale value doesn't drop. No pun intended. LOL

it might protect the phone better, but turns out most ugly one as well. I prefer the ultra slim one, this is only for me though.

i prefer the diary style case... its cheap and protect the phone well. Some of them can even turn into a stand.

Well, it looks like you gave a beautiful woman a very ugly cloth and cover her most pretty parts and try to protect her. I would prefer to buy the $99 apple care instead of this case, just a little more money, then you can really protect your phone if it goes badly. after 2 years, I don't think you will still really care your phone like now. so again, not a good choice for me to buy this case, no point...

yeah but it'll cost $50 to get a refurb replacement, and you can do it only two times, why risk it when it costs as much as the case
personally I think the otterbox reflex brings the perfect balance, some like their phone "naked" but so many people have an iphone these days nothing will really make it stand out

I think the Commuter series is a nice balance. The Defender series looks to be for people who work in construction or other rough environments. No way does an average person need that much protection for their phone lol.

Apple's glass likes to crack on falls and I tend to drop my phone a lot.. I wanted lightweight protection and the reflex series does well for that.. lip on the front, silicon on corners.. great protection/bulk ratio

It's not even waterproof though. For $10 more you can get the Isomething case.
