Dude. That was mesmerizing.
Not my words. Taken from an experiment. He’s the link in case you were wondering

If I had known this I might not have wired my washroom plugs with 20A plugs. 12g wire is a pain to shove into the boxes.
I guess it’s better protected this way

You’d have to buy the dryer to find out

This is going to be a Xmas gift from me. I'm not buying a Dyson nor do I want to spend $300.
I would have thought it being a christmas present would be the only reason to buy a super expensive hair dryer!

The Dyson hair dryers are very quiet in comparison to other dryers on the market. Wouldn't you want to pay to save your hearing?
Until I have a spare $575 to buy one, I am using a travel size Vidal Sassoon 1200W find from Value Village this year.

IMO $120 is super expensive for a hair dryer. $300 warrants a visit to the shrink.

I'm not sure if this is the same with hair dryers, but I first had a drugstore hair straightener, then moved on to a nicer from I picked up from Winners, and then one around $100, and eventually one around $200. I can honestly say that I didn't notice much of a difference in quality until I bought my last one. I understand what you're saying, but I'm not sure if a $120 one is going to be significantly different than what she's using for $50-$60 and whether it's worth spending that money. If that's the case, you could consider other beauty supplies at that price range.

Thx for your perspective. It's hard for me to understand how blowing air makes a significant difference at the $100 price point vs $300 price point, unless you're talking radical design like Dyson. But for the standard designed hand held units is there truly a difference? We will see. I'm going with the t3 for now and can return to Costco if it's no good. Then I can hit the Amazon options after Xmas when I have realistic return windows for trial and error.

wait until dyson has their -100 for the refurb, then wait until they stack it with a discount.

Basically last time it was $399 - $100 = $299

$299 was another 15% off, so essentially it was $254 for the hair dryer

So my wife is looking for a professional salon quality hair dryer. can someone with experience in this area point me in the right direction? there are so many options on Amazon I'm not really sure where to start.

Thx.
Elchim. I’ve bought a handful of brands over the years and Elchim has outlasted them all, and seems like it dries the fastest...it’s also fairly quiet compared to others we’ve had.

Where do you buy the refurb dyson items? Is there a specific website/the dyson website?

Thanks in advance!
