^^^ who said anything about it having to be a deal. It's more like fair market value. Not everyone has time to penny pinch and at least he would be buying it from a member here who hopefully has a better rep than some random kijiji poster.

That's my thinking as well. When I bought my used car I had joined a "car form" well before my purchase to not only become familiar with the car, but to wait for a member of that forum to sell one. I was and still am very happy with that purchase which was 4 years ago. Didn't get a steal of a deal, but a fair one. That's what I'd like for now as well. However, as others have said, "new" many bee worth it for peace of mind if I can find the right operating system.
As a side note, I'm now considering getting a used one for myself as well.

I have 16 go. But I'd the user isn't installing apps, pics, and music, no reason the 8 gb wouldn't be plenty.
It's a rare person who installs no apps and takes no pics.

To provide a frame of reference, Apple didn't even sell 8 GB versions of the iPhone 4S or its predecessor iPhone 4 until they became the low end models. When the 4 or and 4S were released, the minimum they came with was 16 GB.

8 GB can be manageable for some, but as mentioned, it is extremely restrictive.

Absolutely. I got the idea OP was talking about a very very light user. Even with a few gigs of stuff the 8gb would be ok.

Myself, it would never work. 16gb I have is only enough for me because I use a 32gb iPod touch for all misic and podcasts. Otherwise this wouldn't work. 8 gb would never work. But my wife for example likely could.

Btw, sorry for the spelling mistakes in that post you replied to of mine. I'm often in a rush reply to stuff quickly. Lol.

As a result of the previous two posts, I've changed my criteria and will look for 16 gbs. Once again, thank you RFDers.

Yeah 8gb sucks. Too restrictive as others have mentioned. Get one with 16gb minimum. 32 if she listens to a lot of music.

Then if you're going to get the 4s you'll have to buy used. No one is selling the 4s 16gb new anymore.

Sorry bro those prices are not the norm and like the above poster mentioned... The lower the price the higher the risk.

That dude in the second link is also selling the 32gb 5s for $400.

Anybody can post on kijiji for any price. I can create a supposed market value of $200 for note 4 by repeatedly posting that phone for sale.

Go on bro, go on eBay and find a 5c 32gb for $300 sold. Come at me bro!

2. IOS 6 is obsolete. Minimum iOS 7 recommended since a lot of apps are no longer compatible with iOS 6.
Negative - Apple now allows legacy downloads starting the public release of iOS 8 on Sept 17 2014

My Mom's IP4 has access to every single app in the AppStore with the legacy downloads.

The only thing that is obsolete is FaceTime, the certification ran out on April 24 2014 and Apple didn't reissue the certification, the current work around is to use Skype moving forward.

Just for argument sakes, here is the EXIF to debunk any claims of a recycled pic ;)
