Okay I need some help. My parents signed up for some deal where they got dsl and voip phone service. They took out everything I had installed already (router etc.) and replaced it with some generic wireless router. The technician helped them set up their devices (phone) to get wifi, but never told them the password for the router or the wifi. He cant be reached and the company he works for says he doesnt exist by name. Im still trying to help them sort out who came etc. but in the mean time, how can I recover the wifi password if I have a computer connected to the router and I have several devices that are connected to the wifi (itouch, android phone). Any help is greatly appreciated!

I assumed that the PC was also connected via the wifi, but after rereading the OP it doesn't seem like the case. If the android phone has been rooted you can try these files: http://alt236.blogspot.ca/2011/04/an...locations.html or use an app
But frankly, if the ISP setting are known then I would just reset the router._______________

Wifi setting can be reset with reset switch but for dsl login ask your provider, they should have that on file
Just search for your router/modem default login and ip_______________

Hi, There are wifi password crackers available but if you want to use it to hack someone elseand not your own is not a legal practice. I don't think it is possible to get the old password but there might be a way to reset your password in case it is being lost or forgotten. The answer here http://www.techyv.com/questions/how-...-wifi-password looks good and I have tested once. Hope this will work with you too.
