An interesting device but from the reviews on Amazon, barely useful. Advice was to get a good book of phrases from the library for your next trip. I'm pretty well set for that. When the old library closed up shop here last year I was able to purchase a ton of language instruction tapes for a song and a dance. Have them for Spanish, Finnish, Croation, German, Japanese, Chinese (Mandarin and Cantonese), Russian, French, Vietnamese, German, etc. One of the Amazon reviewers was right though...people will respond better to you if you make the attempt to speak their language rather than relying on a machine...
