Windows 7 Build Sleep Issue

Hi Everyone,

Hopefully you guys can help me with this issue I'm having. The build is:
i7 2600k
Asus P8P67 Pro
16GB Corsair Vengeance (4x4GB)
OCZ ModXStream Pro 500W
MSI GTX460 Cyclone
Coolermaster Hyper 212

The main issue I've been experiencing with this build is that when i try to put the computer into sleep mode it just shuts off instead and I would have to hit the power button to turn it back on, I get an error message upon boot up telling me that Windows did not shut down properly. Does anybody have a possible explanation for this? The CPU is not overclocked and all the settings are at default, I am having trouble identifying the cause of this

Any help would be really appreciated

Thanks
